Updates and reflections on my work for Carlisle
September 2025
Progress Report
Since being sworn in, I’ve been working to uphold my commitment to transparency, careful planning, and broad community input. That’s included attending 10 board meetings, engaging with residents at public events, and collaborating with subject matter experts as we prepare zoning options for November’s Town Meeting.

I love this town.
I love that my kids can walk to Banta Davis or to school through the woods. I love the stone walls, the spring peepers, and how quiet it gets after a snowfall. I love that we show up for one another—whether it’s through drive-by concerts during lockdown or rallying to support families in times of loss. Carlisle has wetlands and woods, neighbors who wave, and a shared sense of place that’s hard to put into words but easy to feel.
Carlisle is special — and like so many of you, I want to make sure the decisions we make today preserve what we love most while also positioning us well for the future.
Now, as a member of the Planning Board, I’m focused on addressing Carlisle’s housing and growth challenges with communication, clarity, and consensus. The MBTA Communities Act requires us to act, and while that mandate is complex and sometimes divisive, I believe we can meet it in a way that reflects Carlisle’s values: a welcoming community, rural character, open space, and strong schools.
My goal is to make it easier for residents to follow what’s happening, understand the tradeoffs, and weigh in before November’s Town Meeting. I invite you to [read my full progress report] to see what I’ve been working on since being elected.

Accessible messaging
I have a planning background and have spent decades helping people work through complicated decisions. I’ve worked with local and federal agencies, taught negotiation and leadership at Tufts, and guided public engagement processes through challenging terrain.
On the Planning Board, I strive to help people feel heard — even when they disagree — and to make complicated, technical information accessible so that communities can make informed decisions together.
At a time when Carlisle is facing big challenges that require both rigor and trust, I rely on my professional experience in collaborative problem-solving and my steady commitment to respectful, inclusive dialogue.
